Some tips from Millenotes for using glitter inks properly
-
Choosing the right pen
For the best writing experience, it is recommended to use glitter inks with at least a fine nib, ideally medium or broader. The finer the nib, the more likely it is to clog. -
Shake before use
Before each use, remember to shake the ink bottle well to distribute the glitter evenly, thus ensuring a uniform and vibrant finish. -
Regular cleaning of instruments
Glitter can sometimes build up in the pen and nib. It is therefore advisable to clean your nib and pen regularly to prevent blockage and prolong the life of your writing tools. -
Do not let the ink dry in the nib.
It is important not to let the glitter ink dry in the nib. If the nib is not going to be used for a long time, clean it to avoid any residue that could compromise the smoothness of the writing. -
If your fountain pen nib is clogged despite recent use , do not press hard on the paper, you risk damaging it! Dip it in water for 2 seconds, then gently wipe it with a paper towel or tissue. The problem should be resolved. If the problem persists, repeat the process one or two more times. If the nib remains clogged despite immersion in water, more thorough cleaning will be necessary.
