Five nib sizes made in Germany are available:

• EF (Extra Fine): ideal for very fine and precise writing (not recommended with shimmering inks).
• F (Fine): for fine and clean writing.
• M (Medium): the standard width, ideal for daily writing.

• BB (Extra Broad): perfect for signatures and large strokes.

If you are unsure about the nib size, we recommend an F or M nib. Size M is also an excellent choice for discovering fountain pen writing.

Kaweco fountain pens are compatible with all fountain pen inks. For shimmering inks, prefer an F or broader nib; the shimmering effects will be particularly visible with an M or broader nib.
