A few tips from Millenotes for using shimmering inks

• Choose the right nib
  For an optimal writing experience, it is recommended to use shimmering inks with at least a fine nib, ideally medium or broader. The finer the nib, the more susceptible it is to clogging.
• Shake before use
  Before each use, remember to shake the ink bottle well to evenly distribute the glitter, ensuring a uniform and vibrant finish.
• Regular cleaning of instruments
  Glitter can sometimes accumulate in the pen and nib. It is therefore advisable to regularly clean your nib and pen to avoid any blockages and extend the life of your writing tools.
• Do not let the ink dry in the nib
  It is important not to let shimmering ink dry in the nib. In case of prolonged non-use, clean the nib to avoid any residue that could compromise writing flow.

• If your fountain pen nib is clogged despite recent use, above all, do not press hard on the paper, as you risk damaging it! Immerse it in water for 2 seconds, then gently wipe it with a paper towel or tissue. The problem should be resolved. If the problem persists, repeat the operation one or two more times. If the nib remains obstructed despite immersion in water, a more thorough cleaning will be necessary.
