Millenotes' tips for using shimmer inks

• Choose the right nib
  For an optimal writing experience, it is recommended to use shimmer inks with at least a fine nib, ideally a medium or broader one. The finer the nib, the more likely it is to clog.
• Shake before use
  Before each use, remember to shake the ink bottle well to evenly distribute the shimmer, ensuring a uniform and brilliant result.
• Regular cleaning of instruments
  Shimmer can sometimes accumulate in the pen and nib. It is therefore advisable to regularly clean your nib and pen to prevent blockages and extend the life of your writing tools.
• Do not let the ink dry in the nib
  It is important not to let shimmer ink dry in the nib. If not used for an extended period, clean the nib to avoid any residue that could compromise writing fluidity.

• If your fountain pen nib is clogged despite recent use, do not press hard on the paper, as you risk damaging it! Dip it in water for 2 seconds, then gently wipe it with a paper towel or tissue. The problem should be solved. If the problem persists, repeat the operation one or two more times. If the nib remains blocked despite immersion in water, a more thorough cleaning will be necessary.
